A big thanks to Brunos on Old Jacksonville Highway for supporting our ministry by donating 20% of proceeds to The Magdalene Home on Tuesday, February 17th! Please be sure to mention to your server that you are participating in Giveback Days so they know to apply the 20% to our ministry. http://www.brunospizzatyler.com/
Help us raise the monthly support we need to operate!
All proceeds go towards The Magdalene Home Building Fund to operate our crisis pregnancy home in Tyler Texas and The Chosen One Adoption Agency.
The Magdalene Home is a non-profit 501(c)3 crisis maternity home in East Texas. First Baptist Church South has graciously donated a home for us to use while we still seek the Lord for a permanent location. There are monthly expenses needed to operate this home of approximately $4,000-$5,000. The expenses include things such as fuel for transporting the girls to and from their doctor's appointment, food, cleaning supplies, utilities and a variety of other monthly expenses necessary to run any home.
Would you prayerfully consider being a part of the blessing that God has provided for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus and commit to helping us on a MONTHLY BASIS for as little as $10/mo?
With each of us coming together to be the Body of Christ, His purposes will be accomplished. We thank you in advance for your generosity!
Everyone has a story. My parents have engrained this idea into my life since I was young. They taught me to see the world around me, to see all the hurting, tired, and sad people of this dying world, and to have compassion always. I try to always remember that; everyone has a story. There are so many hurts, so many heart-breaking stories. As Christians, we are called by Christ to serve the needy and most vulnerable, to reach out and take care of the widows and orphans. But, practically, what does that look like?
In today’s culture it can seem overwhelming when you really stop to look at all the problems and help needed in our world. We, as believers, shouldn’t be so caught up and overwhelmed by it all, that we do nothing. We should simply choose to start somewhere, even if it is small or seems insignificant, it is still a step in the right direction.
My start recently began when I heard Wendi share her story and vision for The Magdalene Home at my home church one Sunday. My heart was touched and my interest sparked. Volunteering at a local level through something my church has chosen to support warmed me even more to the idea of helping out. Since recently moving to Tyler, TX, I have been pleasantly surprised by how deeply the community of churches around the Tyler area pour into their local community. And The Magdalene Home is one of the places to get plugged in.
Wendi’s vision for helping women who desperately need guidance and direction, and most importantly, the love of Christ and His good news, is amazing. Knowing that I can help, even in a small way, gives me joy. To be able to give the love of Christ to others, when I myself have been so blessed and loved by Him is an honor and blessing.
