I did not know what to expect when I got to The Magdalene Home but as time passed by life started to feel normal. I FELT LIKE I WAS AT HOME WITH THE KIND OF mother figure I had always wanted. Everyone at The Magdalene Home became like family to me. I will never forget the people at The Magdalene Home who inspired me in so many ways. Everyone came together to help me and my baby. I am very blessed! I wish I could have stayed at The Magdalene Home forever. It gives me comfort to know that I am always welcome back, and they are only a phone call away. My sweet little boy is my world and I am going to be a great mom with the help that I received through The Magdalene Home.

When I got pregnant and told my mom, she did not take it well at all. She took me to 3 different abortion clinics. My mom then began to hit me. She said either I have an abortion or a miscarriage. I was sad…… I told my favorite teacher at school that I did not want to kill my baby!! At that time, I was brought to The Magdalene Home. It was one of the most amazing times in my life. They helped me with everything including counseling, parenting classes and school. They treated me like family, and I met so many great people. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE FUN TIMES I HAD at The Magdalene Home and how they helped change mine and my baby’s life.
